Consumables and Parts
CSI offers the following consumables and parts. If you don't see what you're looking for, we encourage you to call us directly to see if we might have, or might have recently come across, what you're looking for.
Consumables
Sequencers: Primarily lasers... we recommend the Gel company in San Francisco
for regenerated Arrays.
Synthesizers: This overlaps with the parts at times - i.e., a 3900 window tends to be a comsumable. We have columns for the 3948, 394, 8909 and CPG columns for the 3900 - these with protocols developed at Stanford giving better yeilds and quality than polystyrene.
PCR: Lamps and lasers.
Parts
We have used and new parts for many instruments, including synthesizers such as the ABI 377 and 3700, which are no longer made. We have some new and lots of used parts for these... including rebuilt lasers and hard-to-get parts. Please email or call us and we'll help you out.
We have new and used parts for the 377, 310, 3700, 3100, 3130 and 3730 - call for availability.
Synthesizers - we have again new and used parts, including medical grade teflon tubing, valves from Biochem and Burkert, and other electrical components. You can also send your instrument in for a complete rebuild.
3900 parts - because we took over the licence from ABI to build 3900s we have bought up many OEM parts - for example we have about 80 Homalite windows... the real deal, not plastic.
We have new and used parts for the Expedite/8909, 392/394 and 3900 - call for availability.
PCR - We have new and used parts for the 7700, 7000, 7300, 7500, 7900 - call for availability. We have 2 "twisters" for the 7900.
